AerCap delivered the first of three Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters to Fly Meta Leasing on November 21. The aircraft was handed over as part of a multi-unit lease agreement.

The delivery forms part of Fly Meta’s strategy to address rising demand for air cargo capacity between Middle East and Pacific regions. The aircraft will be transferred to Hungary Airlines, which will operate it.

“We are happy to deliver the first 777-300ERSF to Fly Meta, in partnership with Air Atlanta Icelandic,” said Rich Greener, Head of AerCap Cargo.

“We are proud to receive our first Boeing 777-300ERSF, which represents a significant step in Fly Meta’s long-term freighter strategy,” said Helen Chen, CEO of Fly Meta.

Two additional 777-300ERSF aircraft are scheduled for delivery to Fly Meta in the second and fourth quarters of 2026. The aircraft, known as ‘The Big Twin,’ is the first passenger-to-freighter conversion program for the 777-300ER platform.

The 777-300ERSF received certification from the FAA and CAAI on August 31 and entered service in mid-September. The first two converted 777-300ERSFs were delivered to Kalitta Air on September 15.
