Air Cambodia to operate three ATR 72-600s
Cambodia Angkor Air, which will be renamed Air Cambodia from 2025, will operate three ATR 72-600s, the manufacturer announced on December 10.
The aircraft will be provided through a lease with HNCAL, a Chinese lessor, and will be delivered next year.
Cambodia Angkor already flies the ATR 72, but in the -500 variant, of which it has two aircraft that are already about 15 years old.
The Cambodian national carrier’s fleet also includes an Airbus A321 and two A320s.
According to ATR, the fleet expansion is part of a government plan to develop more airports and promote regional air connectivity in the Southeast Asian country.
