Air TransportAir Cambodia became the launch customer for ATR’s new business class, featuring the X-Space Table on the ATR 72-600. The airline will be the first to operate this reconfigurable seating solution on regional routes.
The carrier plans to introduce a premium seat that can be rapidly converted from an economy configuration to a business class layout. This flexibility is intended to meet varying demand on short-haul markets and optimize cabin revenue.
“We are eager to introduce a new business class offering across our fleet of ATRs, as it will enable Air Cambodia to offer a more refined travel experience while maintaining the agility required in our operations”, said David Zhan, CEO of Air Cambodia.

Certification for the X-Space Table is expected in the first quarter of 2027, with retrofitting of Air Cambodia’s three ATR aircraft planned for the same year. The business class section will include four seats arranged in two rows, each in a single-seat abreast layout.
Currently, the airline operates a fleet of three ATR turboprop aircraft, in addition to two Airbus A320s and a single A321.
The national airline partially owned by the Cambodian government, is preparing to place an aircraft order for up to 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8 jets, with 10 firm and 10 options, under a new U.S.–Cambodia trade deal.
