Air Lease Corporation has entered into long-term lease agreements with Magnifica Air, a US-based startup, for six new Airbus aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2027. The deal covers four A220-300s and two A321neos, which will form the initial fleet for the carrier.

The agreement positions Air Lease as the first provider of new aircraft to Magnifica Air, according to Executive Vice President David Beker. The leases aim to support Magnifica Air’s strategy of offering a distinct passenger experience that blends elements of premium commercial and private aviation.

Magnifica Air plans to operate its Airbus fleet with a unique configuration, accommodating 45 to 54 passengers per aircraft and including two to four private suites on each jet. The airline is partnering with Comlux on aircraft outfitting to establish a hybrid product between business-class travel and private jet services.

The startup enters a market segment that targets travelers seeking exclusivity and comfort beyond conventional business class, yet at a scale larger than typical private charter.

“This partnership with Air Lease marks a defining moment for luxury aviation,” said Wade Black, CEO of Magnifica Air. “Together, we are setting a new benchmark that will transform how passengers experience the journey.”

Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to commence in 2027, with Magnifica Air preparing for entry into service shortly thereafter. The airline’s business model and fleet choices will be monitored as the market for premium travel products evolves.
