Air Serbia took delivery of its second Embraer E195 jet at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport on April 24.
Registrationed YU-ATC, the aircraft was leased by Azorra and previously flew with Aurigny in the UK.
The 2014-built jet has a 118-seat configuration and will undergo regulatory procedures before the airline begins operating its flights to European destinations.
“Since the beginning of 2022, our fleet has been strengthened with 18 new aircraft, marking a significant step towards improving operational efficiency and capacity. With the arrival of the new Embraer, we will offer passengers an enhanced level of comfort and convenience during their journey,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

The airline already operates an E195 received in September last year and which it flew on a wet lease contracted with Marathon Airlines.
An incident during takeoff of a jet operated by the Greek company on February 19, however, caused Air Serbia to immediately terminate the contract.
The E195, registered OY-GDC, took off from a disused runway at Belgrade Airport and suffered damage to the fuselage and right wing. Despite the severity of the incident, the pilots managed to stabilize the plane and land back in the same location.
Air Serbia has a fleet of 29 aircraft consisting of 10 A319s, three A320s and four A330-200s, in addition to 10 ATR 72 turboprops. The E195s, therefore, occupy a niche between the ATRs and the A319s.
