Airbus logs best month of 2025 with 73 jet deliveries in September

European manufacturer reaches 507 aircraft delivered this year, with 313 remaining to meet annual goal

Airbus recorded its strongest delivery performance of 2025 in September, handing over 73 commercial aircraft to customers worldwide. The result, confirmed by the manufacturer’s monthly update, brings the year-to-date total to 507 jets — ten more than in the same period last year. To reach its full-year target of 820 deliveries, Airbus will need to complete another 313 by December.

As usual, the A320neo family dominated the figures, accounting for 59 of the September deliveries. Within the lineup, the A321neo stood out with 40 aircraft handed over — its highest monthly total to date — followed by 18 A320neos and a single A319neo.

The A220 program also maintained momentum, with eight A220-300s delivered last month and 58 units so far this year. That figure is already close to the 65 A220-300s delivered in all of 2024, while the smaller A220-100 continues to see limited demand, with only four deliveries in 2025.

Among widebodies, Airbus delivered four A330-900s in September, just one short of last year’s total, while the A350 program showed weaker output. Only one A350-900 — for Turkish Airlines — left the final assembly line, and no A350-1000s were delivered during the month. The larger variant has reached just seven deliveries so far, matching the total through September 2024.

With its production cadence improving and strong narrowbody output, Airbus appears on track to meet its delivery goal, though widebody performance remains a weaker point as the company approaches the final quarter of the year.
