UncategorizedAlaska Airlines has formally ended its codeshare agreements with LATAM Airlines and Singapore Airlines as of October 1. The airline notified the US Department of Transportation (DOT) about the decision, which also concludes reciprocal loyalty benefits for passengers. Interline agreements between Alaska and both carriers will continue, allowing ticketing and baggage transfers.
The codeshare partnership with LATAM commenced in October 2019, while Alaska’s agreement with Singapore Airlines began in August 2017. No specific reasons for the termination have been provided by the airlines involved. Despite the end of codeshare arrangements, Alaska Airlines is maintaining other forms of cooperation with LATAM and Singapore through interline deals.

Alaska Airlines is currently rolling out a new loyalty program called Atmos Rewards, developed in collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines. In addition, the carrier has expanded its partnerships with Starlux Airlines and Icelandair following the codeshare terminations. The agreement with Starlux will allow customers to connect to 20 US cities via Seattle and San Francisco.
Alaska Airlines is preparing to launch a direct service from Seattle to Reykjavik, scheduled for May 28, 2026. This new route follows broader efforts to strengthen the airline’s international network through fresh partnerships and expanded services. Alaska’s recent moves highlight a shift in its strategic approach to global connectivity.
Previous collaborations with LATAM and Singapore Airlines enabled Alaska to offer extended reach for its passengers through shared flights and reciprocal loyalty benefits.
