Air TransportArajet has received its 13th Boeing 737 MAX 8, named ‘Isabel de Torres’, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The aircraft performed its inaugural landing at Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata.
The addition strengthens Arajet’s position as an operator of one of the youngest fleets in the region. Naming the aircraft after Loma Isabel de Torres acknowledges a prominent natural reserve in the country.
Loma Isabel de Torres is known for its historic cable car and panoramic views, making it one of the Dominican Republic’s most recognized natural areas. The carrier continues the practice of highlighting national landmarks through its fleet.

Arajet has operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft since its launch in 2022. Its network connects the Dominican Republic with multiple destinations across North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
In 2022, the Santo Domingo-based airline has struck a deal that includes 20 firm orders for the high-density 737 MAX 8-200, plus 15 purchase options.
