Air TransportThe lessor JSA International notified Azul Linhas Aéreas about the return of four Airbus A320neo aircraft, which must be sent to the United States by December 4, according to a document filed in the judicial restructuring process opened in May.
The formal communication occurred on November 4, establishing a 30-day deadline for the preparation and delivery of the aircraft.
The return includes the aircraft with registrations PR-YRA, PR-YRN, PR-YRO, and PR-YRQ. The contract stipulates that the lessor reimburse the costs of the ferry flights to the designated location in the US.
The return request occurs amid the Chapter 11 process in the United States, initiated by Azul due to financial difficulties and renegotiation of leasing contracts.
The notification document was filed in the New York Bankruptcy Court under Case 25-11176, reinforcing compliance with the legal protocols inherent to the restructuring process.

The airline seeks to adjust its fleet and financial commitments while negotiating terms with various creditors and lessors.
Azul officially has a fleet of 49 A320neo of the A320-251N version, equipped with LEAP-1A engines from CFM. They form the basis of the company’s domestic flights.
The A320neo PR-YRA was the first model of this type delivered to Azul in October 2016, while PR-YRN and PR-YRQ arrived at the company in January and February 2018, respectively. PR-YRN, in turn, is out of service and has been parked in Viracopos Airport since then.
