BOC Aviation has entered into a lease agreement with Akasa Air for three Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in January 2026. The transaction was signed on November 4.

The arrangement involves BOC Aviation acquiring the aircraft and leasing them back to Akasa Air, supporting the Indian carrier’s ongoing fleet expansion. The aircraft will be powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines.

Akasa Air, established in 2021, currently operates a fleet of 30 Boeing 737 MAX 8s. The addition of these new aircraft aligns with the airline’s growth strategy in the Indian market.

“We are pleased to welcome Akasa as a new customer of BOC Aviation at this exciting stage of its development,” said Paul Kent, Chief Commercial Officer, BOC Aviation.

“We are pleased to partner with BOC Aviation, a globally respected lessor with deep expertise in aircraft financing and asset management,” said Priya Mehra, Chief of Governance & Strategic Acquisitions, Akasa Air.
