Boeing sells 50 737 MAX 8 jets to CDB Aviation
Amid problems including delays in the production of its aircraft and the strike at its main factories in Washington, Boeing has reached an agreement to sell 50 737 MAX 8 jets to CDB Aviation.
China Development Bank Financial Leasing, owner of the Hong Kong-based lessor, released a brief statement saying it will receive the aircraft between 2028 and 2031.
Boeing had not commented on the agreement at the time of publication of the article.
CDB Aviation says it has 296 aircraft in its fleet and 84 pending orders. Of the 737 MAX 8s alone, 34 aircraft have been received and 36 are committed.
A week ago, CDB announced an order for 80 A320neo family jets from Airbus, which will be delivered between 2030 and 2032.
As with Boeing, Airbus has not yet disclosed the deal.
