A Delta Connection CRJ-900 operated by Endeavor Air returned to commercial service after being grounded for more than a year following a taxiway collision at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport.

The incident occurred on September 10, 2024, when a Delta Airlines Airbus A350-900 struck the tail section of the CRJ-900 while taxiing. The CRJ-900 sustained significant tail damage and was removed from service for repairs.

No serious injuries were reported among passengers or crew on either aircraft, according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The NTSB also noted that visibility conditions were normal at the time of the collision.

Following the incident, the CRJ-900 was towed to a maintenance facility for evaluation and structural repairs. The A350-900, which suffered less severe damage, returned to the gate under its own power and resumed commercial operations in January 2025.

After extensive repairs, the CRJ-900 conducted a test flight on September 13, according to data from FlightRadar24. The aircraft then performed several non-commercial flights in September and October before rejoining the Endeavor Air fleet for scheduled passenger service.
