Embraer and Airlink signed an agreement on November 16 in Dubai to extend the Brazilian manufacturer’s Component Pool Program to cover ten new E195-E2 jets joining Airlink’s fleet.

The deal expands Embraer’s support to a total of 78 aircraft operated by Airlink, with the pool program aimed at reducing fleet downtime and optimizing reliability and availability across the carrier’s network.

Airlink is acquiring the E195-E2s through lease agreements with Azorra and already utilizes Embraer’s Pool Program for its existing fleet. The airline serves 47 destinations in 15 countries within Southern and Eastern Africa, including Madagascar and St Helena.

“Expanding the Embraer component inventory agreement to cover our new Embraer E195-E2s will provide us with the security we need as we deploy the aircraft. It will help us achieve the maximum operational, commercial and economic benefits we expect to derive from the new additions to our fleet,” said de Villiers Engelbrecht, CEO of Airlink.

“We are proud to support the E2 operations at Airlink, a flagship example of innovation and efficiency in regional aviation. Embraer deeply values the trust Airlink has placed in our aircraft and services, and we remain dedicated to empowering their success with the most advanced solutions in the industry,” noted Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support.

Airlink, South Africa’s largest airline, operates an all-Embraer fleet of jets and received its first three E195-E2s between September and October.
