Embraer closes agreement with Hellenic Air Force to support its ERJ-135LR and ERJ-145 AEW&C aircraft
Embraer has closed a Follow-On Support Agreement contract with the Hellenic Air Force. The contract encompasses a comprehensive support services package for the Hellenic Air Force’s fleet, comprising one ERJ-135LR and four ERJ-145 AEW&C (Airborne Early Warning & Control) aircraft.
The agreement covers various services such as spare parts provisioning, repairs, maintenance, pool management, and technical assistance. These services are aimed at ensuring the optimal performance and availability of the five Embraer jets currently in service with the Hellenic Air Force.
“The Hellenic Air Force is pleased to sign this contract with Embraer. We have been operating the aircraft since January 2000 and have counted on excellent support from Embraer when needed. With the Follow-On Support Agreement, the Hellenic Air Force will enhance the readiness and availability of its fleet,” said General Kontantinous Kleniatis, Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Air Force Support Command.

Potential customer for the C-390 Millennium
The Hellenic Air Force is currently evaluating a possible acquisition of the C-390 Millennium, a military transport aircraft capable of carrying up to 26 tons of cargo and carrying out aerial refueling, firefighting and aeromedical evacuation missions, among others.
Greece has an old fleet of C-130 Hercules, almost all of which are out of service. The country is also considering acquiring the new generation of Lockheed Martin’s turboprop, the C-130J.
