After finishing its tour in the United States, the KC-390 Millennium airlifter already has a new event scheduled, the 17th edition of Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) from 20 to 24 May 2025 in Malaysia.
It will be the first participation of Embraer’s multirole aircraft in the exhibition and another effort by the Brazilian company in search of contracts in the region.
“Embraer is proud to bring the KC-390 to LIMA 2025. It is a new generation military airlift with multi-mission capability, interoperability, reliability, low life-cycle cost, and high performance at its core. The aircraft is gaining traction around the world, and we look forward to expanding our footprint in the Asia Pacific region,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO, Embraer Defense & Security.
In the region, so far only South Korea has committed to receiving the C-390 with an order for three aircraft. Embraer has an order for two jets from an unidentified customer, believed to be Uzbekistan.

Although sales campaigns are taking place in several parts of the world, the manufacturer has secured more contracts in Europe, where it has already been selected by countries such as Portugal, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
There are talks with several air forces, including Poland, Mexico, Colombia, India, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Embraer has customers in Southeast Asia that operate the A-29 Super Tucano, such as Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, seeking to expand their commercial ties.
The KC-390 has stood out in recent years for beating the traditional C-130J Super Hercules by offering greater speed, cargo capacity and more advanced avionics, in addition to versatility to take on various missions.
