Embraer has reached a new milestone in its E-Jets regional jet program, producing the 1,000th wing for the E170 and E175 models.
The achievement was celebrated by the CEO of the commercial aviation division, Arjan Meijer, in a post on social media.
“Today, we celebrated a significant milestone at our factory: the production of the 1,000th wing for our E170/E175 aircraft family. Each wing represents not just a component of an aircraft, but a symbol of our commitment to excellence and the dedication, innovation, and hard work of our incredible team,” said Meijer.
The E-Jet family has already had more than 1,800 orders and also includes the E190 and E195 models, which have larger capacities and slightly different wings.
Although not mentioned, the 1,000th wing is from an E175 since Embraer no longer produces the E170 variant, which was the family’s pioneer.

The E-Jets were launched by Embraer in the late 1990s with a design from scratch that offered more interior space and range than regional jets such as Bombardier’s CRJ.
Currently, Embraer produces only the E175, which is the manufacturer’s most successful commercial aircraft thanks to the high demand from regional airlines in the US.
With the end of production of the CRJ, only the E175 meets the scope clauses that exist between the major carriers such as American, Delta and United and the pilots’ unions.
To replace the first generation of E-Jets, Embraer launched the E2, which offers more passenger capacity, range and fuel economy.
