Embraer will participate for the first time in the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), scheduled to take place in Poland from September 2 to 5. The Brazilian aerospace company plans to showcase the KC-390 Millennium, focusing on potential Polish and regional defense operators.

Embraer’s participation in MSPO is part of its strategy to establish long-term industrial partnerships and expand its footprint in NATO countries. According to Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, “We are excited to participate in MSPO for the first time. This prestigious event represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite us with our Polish partners. We regard Poland as a nation with a rich and distinguished aerospace heritage, and as a vital member of NATO.”

By presenting the KC-390 at MSPO 2025, Embraer seeks to reinforce its commitment to collaboration with the Polish defense industry and to promote the aircraft as a preferred platform among NATO’s tactical airlift solutions. The event is expected to serve as a platform for Embraer to engage with potential customers and partners in Central and Eastern Europe.

Embraer has been exploring possible agreements with European countries such as Greece, Finland and Poland itself.

KC-390 Millennium Targets European Market

Following its debut at MSPO, Embraer anticipates further discussions with Polish stakeholders regarding industrial cooperation and potential procurement, positioning the KC-390 as a contender for future fleet renewals within NATO and the European defense market.

The KC-390 Millennium is a tactical transport aircraft designed for multi-mission operations, including cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, and search and rescue. With a maximum payload capacity of 26 tons and a cruising speed of 470 knots, the aircraft is capable of operating on temporary or unpaved runways. It also offers proven aerial refueling capabilities, functioning both as a tanker and as a receiver.

Since entering service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the KC-390 has expanded its presence to the Portuguese Air Force in 2023 and the Hungarian Air Force in 2024. Embraer reports that the aircraft has been selected by 11 air forces worldwide, including eight in Europe and seven NATO members.
