Air TransportEmirates SkyCargo has confirmed plans to take delivery of up to 10 Boeing 777 freighters by December 2026, aiming to operate at least 21 dedicated cargo aircraft by the end of next year in Dubai.
The company currently operates a fleet of 11 Boeing 777Fs and five leased Boeing 747s. In 2025, Emirates SkyCargo launched cargo services to eight new destinations, expanding its reach to 42 cities across six continents.
Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President at Emirates SkyCargo, said, “In 2025, we built the runway for what comes next. We strengthened the core pillars of our business by expanding our network and innovating with our product portfolio and operations to deliver what our customers need today – and tomorrow.”
The carrier reported a 54% increase in its Vital service volumes for pharmaceutical shipments in 2025, reflecting rising demand for specialized cargo handling in the sector.
Emirates SkyCargo’s expansion plan follows a period of fleet investments and network development. The company has prioritized rapid and reliable global connections through dedicated freighter operations.
