German Airways has updated the livery of its Embraer E190 jets. The aircraft, registered D-AJHW, debuted the new scheme, which features the stylized German flag on the tail.
In addition, the regional jet has gained German colors on its winglets. The logo, however, has been retained.
The first jet presented, of eight operated by the company, was repainted in Cologne and is being prepared to fly on a wet-lease basis for KLM Cityhopper starting this week.

The ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) carrier emerged in 2020 from the merger between LGW and WDL Aviation.
Although it has already taken over flights from other customers, German Airways currently concentrates almost all of its fleet in support of KLM Cityhopper operations.
“Now it is time to take the next step visually as a service provider with typical German quality features such as reliability and high technical performance,” said Maren Wolters, managing director of the company.
