Air TransportA Boeing 737-800 painted in GOL Linhas Aéreas colors has appeared carrying a Chilean registration, CC-DNU, raising questions about a potential expansion by the airline’s parent company, Abra Group.
The aircraft, built in 2007, originally joined GOL as PR-GTX and later operated for Varig as PR-VBK. It returned to GOL in October of the same year and remained in service until 2023, when it was withdrawn and stored at Confins Airport in Brazil.
The jet has since been leased by Avolon to NG Servicios Aéreos SpA, a recently established company in Chile fully owned by Abra Group Limited.
According to public records, NG Servicios Aéreos SpA was incorporated on July 2, 2025, and formally registered on July 9 in Santiago. The company was created with a capital of $1 million, divided into 1 million ordinary shares, all subscribed by Abra Group Limited. Its headquarters are located at Avenida Andrés Bello 2711, 8th floor, Las Condes, a major business district in the Chilean capital.

The firm’s charter allows it to sell aircraft parts, lease or sublease aircraft (with or without crew), provide maintenance services, and import or export aeronautical products. It may also invest in related companies or assets connected to aviation activities.
Unconfirmed reports said the Abra Group plans to operate six aircraft — which would explain the reappearance of the locally registered 737-800.
The Abra Group issued a statement shortly after this article was published. According to the company, NG Servicios Aereos was created to provide non-scheduled charter and ACMI flight services, offering aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance to third parties.
"Abra Group, the largest investor in Avianca and Gol and a strategic investor in Wamos Air, has sought approval from Chile’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) to obtain an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) for NG Servicios Aéreos, a company already registered in Chile and part of Abra Group.
