Dubai AirshowHelvetic Airways announced an order for three additional Embraer E195-E2 jets and five purchase options on November 17, at the Dubai Airshow.
The acquisition aims to expand the fleet of E2 aircraft of the Swiss airline, which currently consists of 12 units.
The first delivery is scheduled for the end of 2026, with each jet configured for 134 seats in a single class utilizing Recaro seats.
“We are proud to deepen our partnership with Embraer through this further order for the E2,” said Tobias Pogorevc, CEO of Helvetic Airways. “The E195-E2 is the ideal aircraft for our network, offering exceptional fuel efficiency, low noise emissions, and a high-quality passenger experience.”
“Helvetic Airways continues to demonstrate the versatility and value of the E2 family in European operations. Their decision to expand the E195-E2 fleet is a strong endorsement of the aircraft’s performance, economics, and environmental credentials,” added Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation.

With this order, Helvetic Airways’ E2 fleet could reach 20 aircraft, adding to the current eight E190-E2 and four E195-E2 already in operation.
The company also operates four E190 and four E195 from previous generations, employing the E2 jets on scheduled flights, charter operations, and wet-lease contracts.
Based in Switzerland, Helvetic replaced its Fokker 100s with Embraer jets and received its first E190-E2 in 2019, from an order of 12 aircraft. Later, the airline decided to upgrade the order, replacing four units with the larger E195-E2.
