Honda Aircraft Company announced on Thursday the APMG S upgrade package for owners and operators of HondaJet Classic and HondaJet APMG aircraft.

The APMG S package introduces technical enhancements from newer HondaJet variants, including features from the HondaJet Elite S. The modifications have received FAA certification for installation on US-registered aircraft.

“As we approach the tenth anniversary of our first HondaJet delivery, we are excited to provide our customers the opportunity to upgrade their aircraft with the advanced technology and performance of more recent iterations of the award-winning HondaJet," said Amod Kelkar, Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Large Project Leader for HondaJet Echelon.

Included in the package are avionics software and hardware upgrades that deliver faster processing speeds. Owners benefit from a 136 kg (300 lb) maximum takeoff weight increase compared to the legacy HondaJet, and operators gain access to improved weight and balance graphical features.

HondaJet Elite

The Honda HA-420 HondaJet is a light business jet produced by Honda Aircraft Company, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. The program began in 1997, with first flight in December 2003 and FAA type certification achieved in December 2015.

Initial HondaJet deliveries started in late 2015. The Elite S, introduced in 2021, added performance and avionics improvements that the new APMG S package now brings to earlier models. The global HondaJet fleet has surpassed 250 deliveries as of early 2025, said the company.
