The Hungarian Air Force’s second KC-390 Millennium has undergone another assembly stage, having its primary electrical system turned on for the first time, the so-called “power on” phase.
According to Embraer, the multirole aircraft “is ready for the next phase of production which includes the installation of more systems preparing the aircraft for the flight tests.”
Hungary ordered two KC-390s in November 2020, being the third customer for the aircraft, after Brazil and Portugal. The aircraft are the first to be equipped with an Intensive Care Unit, used in humanitarian missions.

The first Hungarian KC-390 was delivered to the country in September 2024 and received the registration “610”, while the second aircraft displays the registration “611”, as can be seen in the images released by Embraer.
There are currently ten C-390s in service with the air forces of Brazil (7 aircraft), Portugal (2 aircraft) and Hungary (1). Embraer, however, has four other jets in the assembly phase at its facilities.
The aircraft has so far won 42 orders from countries such as the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, South Korea and an undisclosed customer.
Sweden and Slovakia have also announced the selection of the C-390, but have not yet signed a contract.
