Hunnu Air, a small Mongolian carrier, is expected to add an Embraer E195-E2 in March 2025, CH-Aviation reported, citing aviation analyst Brendon Sobie.

The aircraft is expected to be leased, but the lessor was not disclosed.

The Ulaanbaatar-based carrier currently flies two first-generation E190s received in 2019 and 2023 from CDB Aviation and ACIA Aero Leasing, respectively.

E195-E2 (Embraer)

Hunnu Air has previously flown larger aircraft such as two A319s between 2013 and 2014, as well as turboprops such as the Fokker 50. It currently has one ATR 42 in its fleet.

With the E195-E2, the Mongolian carrier will be able to expand its routes and serve more distant destinations.

In addition, the jet can carry more than 130 passengers compared to the 98 seats of the E190.

Its current flight network consists of routes to China, including Beijing, and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
