Air TransportJuneyao Airlines expected to sign an agreement to purchase 25 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family, valued at $4.1 billion at list prices. The Shanghai-based carrier expects deliveries to take place between 2028 and 2032.
The airline currently operates a fleet of 103 aircraft, the majority of which are Airbus models. This new order is expected to support capacity growth and network development in the coming years.
Juneyao Airlines’ fleet includes 30 A320ceo, 22 A320neo, 27 A321ceo, 14 A321neo, and 10 Boeing 787-9s. The carrier has consistently favored the A320 family for its single-aisle operations.
The airline’s expansion has paralleled the growth of Shanghai as a major aviation hub in China. Juneyao has built its business model around a combination of domestic trunk routes and selective international services.
