LATAM Airlines announced on Friday new plans to expand its international network from Brazil, including studies to begin operations in the Middle East and open new routes to Africa, amid a 6% increase in international capacity between August 2025 and August 2026.

“We are focused on feasibility studies for new destinations in Europe and Africa. We have also begun a thorough assessment of operations for a destination in the Middle East, which would enhance our reach in the region, strengthening our international network and offering even more travel options. It will certainly be a year of strong expansion for LATAM,” said an executive from the company.

The airline plans to increase some international routes next year. There will be 14 weekly flights from São Paulo/Guarulhos to Orlando starting in June 2026, in addition to an increase of one weekly flight to Los Angeles (totaling five) and to Miami (totaling fifteen), and four weekly flights to Boston starting in May 2026.

In Europe, LATAM will add a daily flight between Rome/Fiumicino and São Paulo/Guarulhos starting in June 2026. For Barcelona, five weekly frequencies are planned starting in April, with a ramp-up to daily flights in June of the same year. Additionally, the São Paulo/Guarulhos–Madrid route will have 14 weekly frequencies starting in April 2026.

“The announced increases for S26 reflect the evolution of demand and LATAM’s commitment to enhancing international connectivity with routes and schedules that make sense for the Brazilian customer,” said Aline Mafra, Sales and Marketing Director of LATAM Brazil.

The airline is also advancing in the domestic market, reaching more destinations while preparing to receive the Embraer E195-E2 jets that promise to offer direct connections that are currently unfeasible. LATAM opened applications this week to select new cabin crew and co-pilots.
