LOT Polish Airlines has unveiled the cabin interiors of its upcoming Airbus A220 fleet, scheduled to enter service from 2027. The announcement follows the order of up to 40 A220s placed at this year’s Paris Air Show, one of the largest aircraft acquisitions in the airline’s history.

The A220s will gradually replace LOT’s long-serving Embraer E-Jets, which have been part of the carrier’s operations for over 20 years. With the introduction of the Airbus type, the airline plans to standardize its short- and medium-haul fleet.

The A220-100 will be configured with 125 seats, while the A220-300 will accommodate 149, both in a 2–3 layout with Economy and Business Class options.

The new seats, manufactured by RECARO in Świebodzin, Poland, feature an ergonomic lightweight design, device holders, 60W USB-C ports, and cup holders. The cabin also incorporates Airspace lighting technology and promises a quieter environment compared to previous-generation aircraft.

According to Izabela Leszczyńska, LOT’s Director of Product Development and Customer Experience, the A220 “sets a new standard in travel with enhanced comfort, a quieter cabin, and modern technology tailored for our passengers.”

With the A220 introduction, LOT aims to improve operational efficiency on European and regional routes. The move also marks the end of an era in which Embraer jets played a central role in the carrier’s network expansion since the early 2000s.
