Air TransportLufthansa will expand its 100th anniversary fleet with two additional aircraft painted in a special commemorative livery, an Airbus A320neo and an Airbus A350-900, due to enter service in the coming weeks.
The A320neo, registered D-AING, arrived in Frankfurt on January 19, and has already entered regular service flying to London. The A350-900, registered D-AIXL, is expected to arrive in Munich on February 3.
The blue fuselage features a white crane whose wings extend into the aircraft wings, with a “100” integrated on the left side and the dates “1926 | 2026” on the right. A matching “100” is also painted on the underside.

Lufthansa has also confirmed that its Boeing 787-9, registered D-ABPU and carrying the name “Papa Uniform,” will begin regular operations on January 20. The aircraft landed in Frankfurt on December and is scheduled to operate its first service to Mumbai.

The additions follow the earlier delivery of another Boeing 787-9 painted in the anniversary livery and bring the number of special-livery aircraft in the fleet to three.
Lufthansa expects to add three more aircraft to the anniversary fleet by fall 2026. These are planned to include an Airbus A380, a Boeing 747-8, and the airline’s first Airbus A350-1000, which is currently expected to be delivered in October.
