Air TransportLuxair’s first Embraer E195-E2 landed in Findel Airport in Luxembourg on Saturday after departing from Brazil the day before.
The aircraft, registered LX-LEA, is the first of six on order and marks the start of a new phase in the airline’s fleet modernization.
The E195-E2 will feature a 136-seat layout. Luxair aims for increased efficiency and lower emissions as part of its strategy to update its narrowbody fleet.
This delivery follows Luxair’s firm order for four E195-E2 jets in October 2023. The carrier expanded its commitment in December 2024, adding two more aircraft to the agreement.

During its ferry flight, LX-LEA aircraft made technical stops in Recife and Gran Canaria before reaching Luxembourg. The aircraft is expected to enter revenue service with its inaugural flight scheduled for early 2026.
“The arrival of our first E195-E2 will mark a milestone for Luxair and for Luxembourg. It combines sustainability, efficiency and greater comfort for our passengers, while also introducing our refreshed brand identity – a strong statement about our ambitions for the future,” said recently Gilles Feith, CEO of Luxair.
