DefenseEmbraer has introduced a new visual identity for its KC-390 Millennium transport aircraft, unveiling a fresh livery that was applied to the company’s demonstrator jet. The aircraft will serve as a showcase at international events and customer presentations, with its first overseas appearance scheduled for late 2025.
The updated look is part of a broader marketing strategy as the KC-390 enters a new phase in its commercial trajectory. The type has already been selected by 11 air forces worldwide, including eight in Europe and seven NATO members.
Demonstrator flights and appearances are expected to strengthen Embraer’s position in the highly competitive military transport market.

First delivered to the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the KC-390 has since entered service with the Portuguese and Hungarian air forces. Embraer reports a mission completion rate above 99% for the global fleet, underscoring its reliability in operations ranging from tactical transport to aerial refueling.
The demonstrator aircraft now painted in the new scheme will play a central role in Embraer’s expansion plans, promoting the KC-390 in strategic markets where procurement campaigns are underway.
According to the manufacturer, the updated branding reinforces the aircraft’s modern image and aligns with efforts to secure new contracts in the coming years.
“This new visual identity represents an important milestone in the history of the KC-390 Millennium, the multi-mission aircraft of the 21st century. Its unbeatable combination of speed, agility, robustness, reliability, technology and efficiency—unique in the segment—not only strengthens the defense capabilities of its operators, but also promotes strategic interoperability among allied nations,” said Bosco da Costa Júnior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security.
