Airbus received an order for 21 A330-900s while Boeing closed a deal for 32 787-10 Dreamliners. The aircraft will be delivered between 2028 and 2033.

In addition, IAG has purchased six A350-900s for Iberia and six A350-1000s and another six 777-9s for British Airways. These aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2027 and 2030.

Although not detailed, it is understood that the orders would be directed to British Airways in the case of the 787-10s and Iberia and Aer Lingus in relation to the A330-900, an aircraft not yet operated by the group.

BA is the only airline to fly the 787 Dreamliner and has exclusivity over the 777-9 and A350-1000.

Spanish airline Iberia, in turn, flies the A350-900 and also older A330s. Ireland’s Aer Lingus has 13 wide-bodies of the type, some of which are quite old.

The A350-1000 fleet, currently comprising 18 aircraft, will also have 24 jets in the coming years.

IAG has also agreed new options for 10 787s and 13 A330neos in the future.
