Pilatus has delivered a PC-12 turboprop aircraft to the Bundeswehr Technical and Airworthiness Center for Aircraft (WTD 61) in Germany. The aircraft will be based at Ingolstadt/Manching Air Base.

WTD 61 will employ the PC-12 for test pilot training as well as the transport of personnel and equipment. The aircraft is expected to enhance operational readiness for the German Armed Forces.

The PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop known for its operational flexibility and relatively low operating costs. Its versatility makes it suitable for a variety of support missions, including training and logistical tasks.

WTD 61 serves as one of the German Armed Forces’ key testing centers, responsible for evaluating military aircraft and aerial weapon systems. The center also manages certifications and inspections of modifications made to in-service aircraft.

The addition of the PC-12 is intended to support WTD 61’s ongoing efforts to maintain and develop the Bundeswehr’s aviation capabilities. The aircraft is expected to begin operational duties in the coming months.
