Toronto-based Porter Airlines is celebrating its 19th year of operations as it adds new aircraft and destinations to its network in North America. The carrier has surpassed 4,300 employees and expanded its route map to include 87 routes and 45 destinations.

Over the past year, Porter has increased its workforce by 400 and taken delivery of additional Embraer E195-E2 jets, bringing its total fleet to 77 aircraft. It now operates the world’s largest E195-E2 fleet, with 48 in service and a further 52 on order.

The airline has introduced 20 new routes and seven destinations in the past 12 months. Porter will launch international flights beyond Canada and the US in 2025, adding 13 routes to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America from four Canadian airports.

Porter’s operations are anchored at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, where it is the largest carrier, offering 15 non-stop routes. The airline also provides expanded service from Toronto Pearson, Hamilton, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax, increasing regional connectivity.

Porter has begun operating scheduled flights from Hamilton International Airport, making it the only carrier serving all three major airports in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Porter is preparing for further network growth and continued E195-E2 deliveries, with its international expansion and increased presence at key Canadian airports scheduled for 2025.

The carrier has up to 100 orders for the E195-E2, an aircraft capable of offering 25% less fuel consumption and has a long range.
