Scoot is very pleased with the experience it has had with its newest aircraft, the Embraer E190-E2 jet.
The Singapore Airlines Group low-cost carrier has been flying the 112-seat aircraft since May 2024 and currently has five of the jets in its fleet, the most recent of which was received in December.
Scoot CEO Leslie Thng revealed a few days ago that the E190-E2s have been having a load factor of “high 80[%],” according to CH-Aviation.

For him, the aircraft is the right size to serve some routes where there is no demand for an Airbus A320, for example.
Currently, the five E190-E2s fly from Singapore to destinations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and even the Philippines, with flights lasting more than 3 hours.

For a low-cost carrier, Scoot has a much more diverse fleet than is common. In addition to the E190-E2s, the airline has 21 A320s (seven of which are A320neos), nine A321neos, eleven Boeing 787-8s and another ten 787-9s.
The plans for 2025 are to receive the remaining four E190-E2s leased from Azorra and also add seven to nine A320s and three Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
