The Russian Su-57E stealth fighter arrived in the United Arab Emirates on November 11th, after a direct flight from Moscow. The Sukhoi supersonic jet will participate in the Dubai Airshow, which takes place from November 17th to 21st.

Sukhoi test pilot Sergei Bogdan conducted the flight and will also perform aerial demonstrations during the event, according to the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), which released a video of the Su-57’s arrival.

Russia is using the Dubai Airshow to showcase the Su-57E to potential buyers in the Gulf, seeking to boost defense exports amid ongoing sanctions and market restrictions. The event provides exposure to a region with significant procurement budgets and a history of acquiring advanced combat aircraft.

The Su-57E will be featured both on static display and in aerial demonstrations, with Russia set to open the fighter’s internal weapons bay to the public for the first time. This approach is intended to highlight the aircraft’s advanced features to delegations attending the show.

Earlier in the year, the Su-57E participated in airshows in India and China, targeting key markets outside traditional Russian defense customers. To date, Algeria is the only confirmed export customer for the Su-57E.

Russia’s renewed push for international fighter sales comes as its defense industry seeks to diversify its customer base in response to ongoing geopolitical constraints.
