Site aims to reach 10 aircraft per month by 2026 amid strong global demand

The facility was opened in 2009 to complement production of the 787 Dreamliner, but today it has the only assembly line for the widebody. Expansion will increase production rate from 2027

Everett plant will continue to assemble the Dreamliner until the transition to the rate of six planes per month next year

Flaw was initially pointed out in eight units produced in 2019, but FAA and Boeing are evaluating whether the problem could involve more than a hundred planes
