Thai Airways officially welcomed its first Airbus A321neo, registered as HS-TOA and named ‘Boworrangsee’, during a ceremony in Bangkok.

The aircraft was provided under a leasing agreement with AerCap, which stipulates the delivery of 10 A321neo aircraft by 2028.

Thai Airways has a fleet of 80 aircraft, including 20 Airbus A320s, six A330-300s, 23 A350-900s, 20 Boeing 777s, and 10 787 Dreamliners, in addition to the A321neo delivered in recent days.

“AerCap is proud to introduce the A321neo to our long-standing, valued partner, THAI Airways, reinforcing our commitment to their fleet modernization strategy,”  “Our relationship with THAI began in the mid-1990s with the lease of Airbus A330-300s and Boeing 737-400s,” said Aengus Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of AerCap.

Thai plans to launch the aircraft’s first commercial service on the Bangkok–Singapore–Bangkok route on January 22.
