Air TransportTransavia is set to mark its 60th anniversary on Friday, July 25, with the arrival of its newest Airbus A321neo painted in a special retro livery. The aircraft, wearing the airline’s classic 1960s color scheme, is scheduled to land at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport around 15:00 under flight number HV1965 — a tribute to the year Transavia was founded.
After touchdown, the A321neo will perform a commemorative taxi tour around the airport and park at gate D2, in full view of the Panorama Terrace, offering aviation enthusiasts a front-row seat to witness the historic moment.
The aircraft is then scheduled to depart at 18:20 on its maiden commercial flight to Faro, Portugal, and will return to Amsterdam later in the evening.

The retro livery marks a highlight in Transavia’s year-long celebration of six decades in operation. Founded in 1965, the Dutch low-cost carrier, now part of the Air France-KLM Group, is a staple of leisure travel across Europe and North Africa.
The airline is currently in the midst of a fleet renewal program, replacing its aging Boeing 737-800s with more efficient Airbus jets. As of now, Transavia’s fleet based in the Netherlands includes:
– 39 Boeing 737-800
– 11 Airbus A321neo
– 5 Airbus A320-200
With increased capacity and better fuel efficiency, the A321neo is already playing a key role in Transavia’s operational and sustainability strategy, paving the way for the future of the airline.
