Turkish Airlines has reached an agreement with AerCap to lease ten more new Airbus A321neo aircraft, the lessor said.

No information was provided on a delivery schedule or details such as engines and variants.

The Turkish flag carrier is a major operator of Airbus narrow-body jets, with 127 planes, mostly A321s.

Of the A321neo alone, there are currently 44 jets in service and another nine headed for delivery.

“We are very pleased to support Turkish Airlines with the lease of these ten new A321neo aircraft, helping them to continue to grow their extensive route network while modernizing their narrowbody fleet for greater operational efficiency,” said Aengus Kelly, the Chief Executive Officer of AerCap .

In December 2023, Turkish Airlines unveiled a major agreement with Airbus for 220 aircraft, including A350 and A321neo models.

For the A321neo alone, Turkish had 194 aircraft pending delivery in June, according to Airbus.
