Paris Air ShowAfter two days without major agreements at Paris Air Show, Embraer announced the sale of up to 110 E175 jets to SkyWest Airlines, the US regional carrier that is the largest operator of the 76-seat aircraft.
The agreement provides for a firm order of 60 aircraft and the buying right of 50 other jets. The deliveries will start as early as 2027.
The agreement will be included in Embraer’s backlog in the 2nd quarter and is valued at $ 3.6 billion.
Skywest operates regional flights to large US airlines such as Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Alaska Air.
Its current fleet of E175 comprises 263 aircraft in addition to 16 orders not yet delivered from other contracts.

Skywest is one of Embraer’s oldest customers, having received five EMB-20 Brasilia turboprops in 1986, shortly after the 30-seat aircraft entry into service.
In 2013, the UTAH -based airline signed a major contract for 100 E175 jets, marking the debut of the aircraft that became the main one used by the US regional aviation.
