Air TransportWestJet has announced the largest aircraft order in its history, securing 67 new Boeing jets to support its fleet and network expansion plans. The deal includes 60 Boeing 737-10s and seven 787-9 Dreamliners, alongside purchase options for an additional 25 737-10s and four 787-9s.
The 737-10 is the largest variant of Boeing’s narrowbody MAX family and offers increased passenger capacity. With this new order, WestJet’s total 737-10 commitments reach 107 units, positioning the Canadian airline as a launch customer for the model.
“With the addition of these aircraft, WestJet has the largest order book of any airline in Canada, and will double our fleet of Dreamliners, underpinning our growth plans and our commitment to affordable travel options for Canadians and exciting career paths for our people,” said Alexis von Hoensbroech, WestJet chief executive officer.
“We are honored that WestJet has once again placed its trust in Boeing with a major investment that builds on our three decades of partnership and solidifies their fleet for the decades ahead,” said Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Following this order, WestJet’s order book totals 123 aircraft, reflecting the carrier’s intent to grow both its domestic and international networks. The expansion of the 787 Dreamliner fleet is expected to provide greater flexibility for transatlantic and other long-haul services.
The newly ordered aircraft are anticipated to enhance WestJet’s operational capacity and support its plans for accessible travel offerings. Delivery schedules and entry into service dates were not disclosed.
